The first TOMRA deposit machine in the Netherlands

Alex van Hedel, the mayor of Brummen, Mr Heine senior, founder and former owner of the family business and the current owners son Casper (57) and grandson Christiaan Heine (28), officially put the new machine into use.

How it works?

Scan the QR code on the screen of the machine and the hatch magically opens automatically. Empty the bag, close the hatch, and the machine starts counting and sorting. Is the machine done with all operations? Then you will see the deposit in the Tikkie app. Just tap and the money is directly in your account. Never forget or lose your deposit vouchers again. Getting the receipt or donating to a charity is also possible.

Collection outside the supermarket

The deposit machine is located outside the Jumbo in a ‘collection street’. That’s already one row less in the supermarket. In this street you can also quickly bring batteries, energy-saving lamps and small electrical appliances for recycling. Do you want to wash your hands or dump that dirty bag? That is possible at the Wash & Waste.
