Business Account Payment API — Live

In November 2020 we announced the introduction of Business Account Payment API in Early Access (Pilot). As of the 1st of October 2022 the Pilot phase ended, resulting in the ‘go live’ of Business Account Payment API. This means that any business client of ABN AMRO with developing capabilities can start working with the API.

The Business Account Payment API

You can use Business Account Payment API to initiate payments straight from your Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Treasury Management System (TMS), CRM (Customer Relationship Management), or any other (financial) system or tool.

The Business Account Payment API supports:

  • Single or batch SEPA Credit Transfers
  • Batch SEPA Direct Debits
  • Cross Border payments (non-SEPA)
  • Retrieval of status updates

Combine APIs

The combination of Business Account Payment API and Business Account Insight API supports you in full in the basics of cash management: payments and reporting of transactions and balances. As both APIs are fully live, you can optimize your liquidity by means of these APIs.

More soon!

In the current version of Business Account Payment API, payments are sent to the bank unauthorized. The signing will have to be done in the secured environment of ABN AMRO. We are aware of the requests of corporates that want to send single payments pre-authorized to ABN AMRO and have them executed instantly. We can imagine that you are interested in this too. An update on this will be posted soon. So stay tuned!
