Tikkie Payment Request

Get paid faster by creating and sharing payment requests.

Overview

Introduction

The Tikkie Payment Request API creates payment request platforms which are used to register and group users, and to create unique payment requests on their behalf.

This API provides the following functionality:
- Add platforms
- Add users to platforms
- Create payment requests
- Retrieve information on payment requests

Requirements

To use this API in a production environment, you must have the following:
- A Tikkie contract. Click here to sign up.
- An ABN AMRO business account. Click here to sign up.

Important: Consumer to Consumer (C2C) use of the API is prohibited.

Important: Generation of payment requests on behalf of third parties is prohibited.

Get access

To gain access to the Tikkie Payment Request API in a sandbox environment, complete the following steps:

  1. Create an account on the ABN AMRO developer portal.
  2. Create a new application:
    1. In the top navigation bar, click My Apps.
    2. Click Add a new App or +.
    3. In the App name field, enter a name for your application.
    4. Select Tikkie Payment Request as API product, and click Submit.
  3. Authenticate yourself using the Signed JSON web token procedure.
  4. After obtaining an access token using above process you can use it to test the Tikkie Payment Request API operations on the Operations & Sandbox page.

To start using the API, complete the following steps:

  1. Create a platform
  2. Create a user on the platform
  3. Create a payment request

Thresholds

Different thresholds apply to aspects of payment requests, such as: the number of payments per payment request, maximum amount of a payment request, and maximum yield. These thresholds are discussed on a per customer basis during onboarding. These thresholds are not applicable in the sandbox environment.

Get Access to Production

  1. If you do not already have one, Create a Tikkie Business Account .
  2. Create a new application in the developer portal. This to be used for production.
    1. In the top navigation bar, click My Apps.
    2. Click Add a new App or +.
    3. In the App name field, enter a name for your application.
    4. Select Tikkie Payment Request as API product, and click Submit.
  3. Authenticate yourself using the Signed JSON web token procedure.
  4. Request Access to the Tikkie Payment Request production environment
    1. Go to the Contact form.
    2. In the API Product field, select Tikkie Payment Request.
    3. In the Support category field, select Certificates and Authentication.
    4. In the Subject field, enter the name of your application and request access, in the following format: <Application name>: request for access to production.
    5. In the Email field, use the same developer e-mail that you used when setting up your application.
    6. In the Message field, paste the public key in PEM format.
    7. Fill in the remaining fields, and click Send.
  5. Create a platform.
  6. Send an email to Tikkie Business Support with your business name and platformToken. We will then send you your bankAccountToken and userToken.
